A unique feature of SKOP is its “In-Home Visits/Support” to parents and caregivers. This is offered on an “as needed basis” and parents/caregivers can choose who within the family will participate during in-home support.

How does the In-Home visit work?

The Resource Teacher will visit the home to observe the child in his/her environment and his/her interaction(s) with family members. The Resource Teachers will discuss the needs of the family. They together create an Action Plan to work on specific goals for the child and family. The Resource Teacher will coach parents and demonstrate activities and strategies to practice with the child in order to achieve successful outcomes within the home environment.
